Doctors' Support Service

Each year MIGA assists doctors in dealing with claims for compensation and investigations by the Medical Board, the Coroner or Medicare Australia.

Members handle the emotional pressure associated with a claim or investigation differently.  Some cope with this pressure better than others, some seek help and support, others don't.  Some doctors cannot find, or are reluctant to seek out the support they need.

MIGA offers a Doctors' Support Service to give our members access to the support they need on a confidential basis.

The key components of the Service are:

• Medical Support Service - provides members with access to independent professional medical advice
• Peer Support Service - provides access to selected MIGA members who can share their experiences and provide confidential guidance and support.
