John Flynn Placement Program - The Program offers students the opportunity to do two week placements for four consecutive years in the same rural or remote community
Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship (MRBS) Scheme - Students accepting the MRBS receive financial assistance and commit to working for six continuous years in a rural or remote area of Australia after completing their medical training as a specialist
Rural Australia Medical Undergraduate Scholarship (RAMUS) Scheme - The Scheme offers assistance to students of rural origin to overcome the financial difficulties of undertaking a career in medicine
John Snow Scholarship - Offers seven scholarships to students to present their work at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Congress
Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme - This scholarship assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are currrently studying or intending to undertake study in medicine, nursing or allied health disciplines
Cancer Council Essay Competition - Cancer Council Australia hosts an essay competition for medical students each year. The winning entrant attends the International Summer School for Medical Students, held in Europe annually.
